As we celebrate the holidays with loved ones, EPSA member companies are making the season even brighter by giving back to the communities they serve. See how America’s competitive suppliers are spreading good cheer in communities across the country this holiday season.

Competitive Power Ventures continues to help tackle food insecurity with a $50k donation split between two reputable organizations: the Greater Boston Food Bank and the Capital Area Food Bank (DC). To maximize their impact locally, CPV has also given $5k to both We Feed Woodbridge (NJ) and the Interfaith Community Food Pantry (Jackson Township, PA). Beyond addressing hunger in their community, CPV has also donated $10k to the Northeast Animal Shelter (Salem, MA) and over $9,000 to the Orange County Youth Bureau’s Adopt-A-Family program in New York.
Throughout November, NRG Energy employees partnered with Central Texas Food Bank, FeedMore WNY, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, and local chapters of United Way and Meals on Wheels.
This year, NRG’s Reliant Energy set a fundraising goal of $100,000 in both cash and toy donations for their local news station’s Secret Santa Toy Drive. Reliant also welcomed their Dallas neighbors to a free community festival at the AT&T Performing Arts Center on December 4, which featured family-centered crafts, a holiday concert, and a visit from Santa.
Vistra’s TXU Energy is currently hosting Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo until January 9. Texans are invited to take a stroll through the zoo and enjoy one of the area’s most cherish holiday traditions.
Calpine Energy Solutions’ Houston office collected winter coats and warm gear this year for Star of Hope Mission, an organization dedicated to serving their community’s unhoused neighbors.
Shell is a proud sponsor, for the eighth year, of Operation: Stocking Stuffer, one of the largest toy drives in Houston. Shell’s goal this year is to reach over 10,000 families in Houston.
Reliant was proud to sponsor the Dallas Arboretum’s Holiday at the Arboretum event, featuring a lightshow with over one million lights. Reliant’s display at the Dallas Zoo has also been nominated for Best Zoo Lights by USA Today this year.
LS Power Group’s New York-based Rise Light & Power donated 1,000 turkeys to those in need in their community as an early Thanksgiving celebration.
