WASHINGTON, D.C. – Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA) President and CEO Todd Snitchler released the following statement on President Trump’s naming Commissioner James Danly as the new chair of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
“We welcome Chairman Danly in his new leadership role at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. FERC’s oversight of our nation’s competitive power markets is essential to our member companies’ ability to bring affordable, reliable and innovative electric solutions to customers and the grid.
We appreciate Chairman Chatterjee’s leadership overseeing critical decisions about the future of competitive markets posed by the evolving resource mix. His willingness to engage in substantive discussions and bring all stakeholders to the table was a hallmark of his tenure as Chair. We look forward to continuing those conversations during Commissioner Chatterjee’s remaining tenure at FERC and the leadership of Chairman Danly.”
