EPSA Comments on BPU Technical Conference on Resource Adequacy

By EPSA

EPSA outlines the benefits that markets have delivered for New Jersey

Date: August 19, 2025

Venue: New Jersey Board of Public Utilities

Proceeding: Docket No. QO25060358

EPSA filed comments with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities on its August 5, 2025 Technical Conference on resource adequacy and participation in regional wholesale electricity markets.

EPSA’s comments state that competitive markets have helped keep the lights on in New Jersey and continue to provide enormous financial and reliability benefits for New Jersey homes and businesses.

EPSA also noted that these positive outcomes occurred while investment risks remain with company shareholders -not captive customers – while highlighting announcements from PJM that show that markets have continued to deliver investment in new generation.
