EPSA Request for 60-Day Extension for Comments on EPA Proposed Rules on GHG Emissions from New and Existing Fossil-fueled Electric Generating Units (EGUs)

By EPSA

Environmental Protection Agency } Docket: EPA-HQ-OAR-2023-0072

Filed: June 1, 2030

Summary: EPSA seeks an extension of 60 days to the established July 24, 2023 comment deadline for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s set of complex proposed rules on EGU GHG emissions which include dense technical work papers. Additional time is necessary to develop and provide useful, practical technical comments and analysis. The impacts of these rules cannot be overstated and, thus, getting them right in a final rule – with as little ex post revision as possible – is critical to serve the public as well as industry and those investing in the resources and system delivering critical electric power to the nation’s citizens and businesses.
