EPSA Supports Ohio HB 798 to Delay Nuclear Subsidies While Urging Ohio Legislators to Fully Repeal HB 6

By EPSA

Ohio 133rd General Assembly
House Select Committee on Energy Policy and Oversight

STATEMENT OF THE ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLY ASSOCIATION
IN SUPPORT OF HB 798

EPSA submitted testimony to the Ohio General Assembly House Select Committee on Energy Policy and Oversight voicing support for legislation to pause nuclear bailout subsidies, though still urging legislators to fully repeal Ohio House Bill 6 (HB 6).

Our member companies own, operate, and develop critical assets in Ohio and the PJM Interconnection footprint, including over 8,200 MW of electric power generation located in Ohio and over 52,000 MW throughout across the PJM footprint.

EPSA supports House Bill 798 as a stopgap measure but encourages the General Assembly to act expeditiously continuing repealing the remaining provisions of HB 6 in their entirety.
