EPSA member committees work collaboratively to share information and best practices, identify priorities and coordinate efforts across the industry.
Regulatory Affairs Committee
EPSA’s Regulatory Affairs Committee develops and articulates EPSA’s positions before regulatory agencies, primarily the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The committee participates in presenting the association’s policy positions in a number of other forums, including the North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC), the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB), trade associations and think tanks.

Legislative Affairs Committee
EPSA’s Legislative Affairs Committee develops, articulates and implements EPSA’s federal legislative agenda. Cybersecurity Committee
The EPSA Cybersecurity Committee focuses on the critically important security issues facing the electric sector to better inform EPSA members and show policymakers the IPP sector takes these issues seriously. The committee brings together technical experts from member companies to share information and best practices related to cybersecurity and assess participation in forums dedicated to cyber and physical security issues (e.g., E-ISAC, ESCC, GridEx, NERC and NAESB).

Energy Trading Working Group
The Energy Trading Working Group develops policy positions and responses related to energy trading activity. This includes proceedings at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and implementation of the Dodd Frank Act and other actions affecting whether and how energy companies will apply new financial or trading rules, regulations and requirements.

Communications Committee
The Communications Committee develops and strengthens EPSA and its members’ public communications efforts to help share the value of competitive energy markets with policymakers, stakeholders and energy consumers. Committee members include communications, media relations and marketing professionals.

EPSA Political Action Committee
EPSA’s voluntary member-funded political action committee (PAC) contributes to candidates seeking federal political office who are constructively interested in supporting the competitive power industry. The EPSA PAC is a separate fund governed by a separate EPSA-PAC Board, managed by EPSA’s director of legislative affairs.
